Editors

Editors can pose problems and moderate discussions for the problems they edit. Please follow these guidelines:

1. Only pose problems you have expertise in and which you can competently be an editor for.
2. Problem types: The Major label is for a central, well-known question that numerous people will agree is important. The Minor label is for a question that is not well-known and that potentially only the editor finds interesting. All other problems have no special label.
3. Editors should track (human and non-human) progress on the problems and update the site once progress has been made.
4. Avoid duplicate problems.
5. Before marking a problem as solved either check the solution yourself or consult expert opinions.
6. Vague problems are allowed.
7. If one can no longer track a problem, ask for a new editor assignment.
